The Physical Therapist Assistant position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Miami, offering a dynamic work setting that facilitates collaboration with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines. You will work alongside a multi-faceted team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff to deliver comprehensive care.

• Assist in evaluating patients’ daily living skills and capabilities, determining their strengths and areas for improvement through observation and standardized assessment tools.
• Implement physical therapy treatment protocols that may include exercise instructions, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living to promote recovery and functionality.
• Monitor and observe patient progress during therapy sessions, communicating any changes in condition or response to treatment to supervising physical therapists.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions in compliance with regulatory standards.

At Bay Motion PT, our patient population is primarily composed of individuals with sports-related injuries, as well as those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. You will frequently work with high school and college athletes recovering from injuries, along with adults and seniors looking to regain mobility and quality of life following surgeries or chronic conditions. Our focus is on achieving the best possible outcomes, emphasizing techniques that are evidence-based and patient-centered.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, complementing your training as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must possess an active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in Florida, ensuring adherence to state practice standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• A minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting, showcasing your ability to work effectively within a hospital environment.

• Prior experience in sports rehabilitation or orthopedic therapy settings is preferred, providing a strong foundation in specific therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with advanced physical therapy modalities and an understanding of the latest rehabilitation research will set candidates apart.
• Experience in documenting care and working with electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently track patient progress.

Bay Motion PT offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 annually based on experience and expertise, along with performance-based incentives.
