Are you an experienced Phlebotomist/ Medical Assistant in San Diego, CA, looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Daily Responsibilities:  

The Medical Laboratory Assistant/Medical Assistant is responsible for a variety of specimen collections on children, both inpatients & outpatients

Specimen processing 

Referral test analysis

Preparation & shipping 

Registration & lab test order entry 

Hospital/departmental computer procedures 

Microbiology specimen processing & departmental instrument maintenance.

Under the direct supervision of an RN/licensed practitioner, the assistants (MA, PCA, & C.N.A) are responsible for providing & documenting nursing care for patients & associated tasks as delegated by the RN/licensed practitioner.

It is the role of these assistant employees to partner with RN/licensed practitioner & other team members to provide optimal patient care.

 Hours for this Position:

Monday - Friday 8am-5:30pm

8-12+ Week Contract

Qualifications

2 years of experience as a Phlebotomist working with pediatrics newborn to adults patients -California Licensure Phlebotomy Technician 


6 months of experience as an MA(MA Diploma) or California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with at least 6 months of experience


Experience with data entry and clinical computer systems 


H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent


Preferred bi-lingual English/Spanish
