Role: Inventory Coordinator
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 5 Months
Shift Timings: 8 AM to 4:30 PM
Note:
This role will also be involved with inventory control of human specimens (blood, urine, etc.) and may be asked to support other Clinical activities.
brief synopsis/skills required - supporting Clinical shipping and receiving, this position will be asked to support Sample Bank (handling biospecimens, accessing ultra cold freezers, moving samples, discarding samples, etc.)
The role is also responsible for administrative support in responding to emails, creating trackers (Excel), filling out forms, and filing and tracking work.
1.Full-Time On-Site at ADSD (5995 Pacific Center Blvd, San Diego, CA 92121)
2.Experience with shipping & receiving
3.Good written and oral communication skills
4.Some Lab or similar experience including:
a. Handling of blood, urine, and other body fluids
b. Use of standard lab equipment such as pipettes, rockers, balances
c. Use of proper PPE
d. Biohazard waste
5.Ability to lift and move heavy materials with (~20 – 30 lbs)
*Education min./experience - High school education is fine with warehouse or administrative assistant background and experience.

This position is a functional role that includes material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure all inventory is maintained accurately, and provided to required areas in a timely manner.
This position may also include Shipping & Receiving tasks if applicable.
Job Duties:
- List the significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are required to perform.
- Perform Material Movements both physically and systematically.
- Generate Work Orders from an ERP system
- Perform Work Order Receipts in ERP system
- Perform cycle counting
- Process stock transfers and material requests
- Follow provided control procedures to complete tasks
- Other tasks as assigned
- Complete Shipping & Receiving execution tasks if applicable
- Timely processing of receipts and shipments, including international and DG
- Cross functional communication with Regulatory, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, and others as required
- Timely returns processing if applicable
- Other tasks as assigned
- Maintain a neat and safe work environment Operate material handling equipment
- Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or certification
