This team is a trailblazer in audio technology. Efforts here will contribute to the development of system libraries used for both our current and next generation PlayStation products. Responsibilities:
Drive algorithm development and implementation in spatial audio, psychoacoustics, and other audio related fields including HRTF (capture, synthesis, personalization), Ambisonics, loudspeaker rendering, and more
Develop requirements based on research or user input and assist with platform integration
Systems level multi-threaded programming and debugging using C and C++
Collaborate with international counterparts to contribute to PlayStation's Tempest 3D Audio technology and our greater audio ecosystem
Qualifications:
5 years or more of digital signal processing experience
Proficient in: C/C++, Python
Experience as a technical contributor to a project involving spatial audio
Solid understanding of basic acoustic and psychoacoustic principles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice-to-Have:
Basic source control experience (git)
Knowledge of audio production tools and software (e.g. Reaper, VST Development)
Embedded systems development
Graphics or GPU programming experience
ML/AI modeling and training experience
Experience in developing novel audio technologies
