Digital Sales Manager - NY


Position Summary

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS), one of the nation’s leading Hispanic media and entertainment companies, is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Digital Sales Manager to drive digital revenue growth for its New York stations and multimedia platforms.

This position is responsible for developing, selling, and executing innovative digital advertising solutions across SBS properties, including streaming audio, websites, mobile apps, podcasts, social media, video, branded content, and experiential marketing initiatives. The Digital Sales Manager will work closely with Account Executives, station leadership, agencies, clients, and internal departments to create strategic multi-platform campaigns that deliver measurable results.

The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic digital sales leader with strong knowledge of digital media trends, integrated marketing, audience targeting, and advertising technologies, combined with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced media sales environment.


Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDigital Revenue Growth
  • Drive digital advertising revenue across SBS New York stations and digital platforms.
  • Develop and sell integrated advertising campaigns that include streaming audio, display advertising, video, podcasts, social media, branded content, sponsorships, and mobile marketing solutions.
  • Partner with Local and National Account Executives to identify and close digital sales opportunities.
  • Generate new business while expanding relationships with existing advertisers and agencies.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual digital revenue goals.
Client Strategy & Campaign Development
  • Consult with clients and agencies to understand marketing objectives and recommend customized digital advertising solutions.
  • Prepare and present strategic sales presentations, media plans, and integrated marketing proposals.
  • Utilize audience insights, analytics, ratings, and market research to support campaign recommendations and sales strategy.
  • Assist with RFP development, sponsorship concepts, and branded content opportunities.
  • Present campaign results, analytics, and optimization recommendations to clients and management.
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Promotions, Programming, Creative Services, and Digital Operations teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Coordinate with ad operations and fulfillment teams to manage campaign launches, delivery, reporting, and optimization.
  • Assist with troubleshooting operational and creative issues related to digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate on station events, promotions, livestreams, and integrated marketing initiatives.
Market Development & Industry Expertise
  • Stay current on digital advertising trends, media technologies, audience behaviors, and competitive market activity.
  • Educate internal sales teams on digital products, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Attend client meetings, networking functions, industry events, and community activities representing SBS New York.
  • Assist in developing sales collateral, sponsorship packages, and digital marketing materials.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Track revenue pacing, pipeline development, sales activity, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Utilize reporting tools and analytics platforms to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales activity within CRM and internal systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and support the local Digital Sales team within the New York market.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and ongoing development to Digital Account Executives and sales support staff.
  • Monitor team performance, sales activity, pipeline management, and revenue goals to ensure achievement of digital sales objectives.
  • Assist in establishing sales strategies, performance expectations, and best practices for digital revenue growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on client service, innovation, and revenue generation.
  • Partner with station leadership and corporate digital teams to align local digital initiatives with overall company goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of digital media sales experience, preferably within radio, broadcasting, streaming, entertainment, or multimedia sales environments.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding digital sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising products including streaming audio, social media, display, video, podcasts, mobile, and branded content.
  • Experience creating integrated marketing campaigns and sponsorship proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems, digital analytics platforms, ad-serving technologies, and media research tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves sedentary work, including extended periods of sitting, computer use, meetings, and presentations. Occasional travel to client meetings, station events, and industry functions may be required.
