Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software applications using Java. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in application architecture, cloud technologies, databases, CI/CD, APIs, messaging systems, and Agile development.

The candidate must be comfortable working independently on complex technical problems, providing technical leadership, mentoring software engineers, and supporting applications in production environments.

Key Responsibilities : 

Perform programming, project management, and software development assignments independently.

Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems, including production and off-shift support when required.

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.

Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components supporting multiple applications.

Drive application development focused on delivering business value.

Mentor and assist software engineers by providing technical guidance and direction.

Establish and maintain high software quality standards, development practices, and engineering processes.

Troubleshoot issues through independent research and collaborate with team members when needed.

Maintain a strong sense of urgency and proactively follow up on dependencies and blockers.

Provide technical leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.

Required Education & Experience : 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience.

OR Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.

Required Technical Skills : 

10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing software applications using Java.

Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software at scale.

Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Knowledge of application architectural patterns such as:

MVC

Microservices

Event-driven architecture

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GoCD.

Experience deploying and maintaining applications in public cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.

Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework.

Experience with AI tools is a strong plus.
