Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Fulltime, Onsite M-F.


Role Overview:

In this role, you will support day-to-day cybersecurity operations including monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats against IT systems. You will implement security controls, evaluate alerts, and assist with maintaining compliance with DoD policies and IAVM/IA controls. This position provides hands-on experience with firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), incident response, and threat analysis while working under the guidance of senior cybersecurity staff.


General Skillset

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed

Specific Skillset

  • Support incident detection, analysis, and response efforts across IT systems
  • Assist with firewall rule creation, ACL updates, and configuration management
  • Monitor, review, and report on security alerts and events from network and host-based tools
  • Apply Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) policies and ensure timely patching
  • Conduct basic threat analysis and contribute to mitigation strategies
  • Support user access control and identity management procedures
  • Maintain documentation of security incidents, reports, and compliance activities

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • GED or Highschool Diploma
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • 2-3+ Years of Cybersecurity experience
  • Experience with Incident response
  • Experience with Government cybersecurity standards
