Located in Bridgeport, St. Vincent's has more than 3,200 employees and includes a 473-bed community hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport and special needs services for adults and children.
Staffed by renowned orthopedic specialists, The Connecticut Orthopedic Institute provides an exceptional patient experience - delivering world-class care with the highest safety and quality. The Connecticut Orthopedic Institute's Physician Assistant team is a growing department that covers inpatient joint reconstruction, spine, podiatry and acute fracture care.
Physician Assistant (PA) Description
  • First and/or Second Assist in the Operating Room.
  • Provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
  • Documents patient encounters, including but not limited to: admissions, brief operative, progress, event, procedure and discharge notes.
  • Enters, reviews and updates orders.
  • Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and appropriate patient disposition.
Schedule: Per Diem - Mostly weekend and night coverage with some weekday coverage

Qualifications:
  • Board certified (NCCPA).
  • Current or eligible CT PA license.
  • Minimal two years of PA orthopedic surgery experience required.
