Whatyou willdo

The Assistant Editoris responsible fortechnical and organizational editorial work from pre-production throughpost production. Assistant Editoris responsible formaintainingan efficient editorial pipeline andassistingeditors.Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Avid project and keep files organized.

  • Managing and processing storyboards using Flix. Also importing layout, animation, and lighting shots.

  • Importing, logging and prepping dialogue recordings for editors: scratch dialogue, production recordingsessionsand ADR.

  • Outputting movie files for various uses including turnovers for sound department, digital intermediate, and music departments.

  • Organizing sound effects and music.

  • Assisting the editors with Avid builds in preparation for screenings andQC ofoutputs.

  • Publishing toproduction, including managing EDLs andchangenotes.

  • Providing information to production that istimelyandaccurate.

  • Assistingin Retake Sessions asrequired.

  • Uploading needed screeners onto PIX

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2years experiencein animation editorial.

  • High degree ofproficiencyin Avid Media Composer.

  • Excellentorganizationskills with great attention to detail.

  • Understanding offeature animation pipeline and workflows.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under tight schedules.

  • Strongteammatewith good interpersonal and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • After Effects, Photoshop,ProToolsexperience a plus.
