We're looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant Banquet Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves leading people, and enjoys bringing exceptional events to life. What You'll Do

As the Assistant Banquet Manager, you'll partner closely with the Banquet Manager to lead daily banquet operations while delivering exceptional hospitality from start to finish. You'll motivate the team, ensure seamless event execution, and help create memorable experiences for every guest.

You'll:

  • Help oversee banquet operations for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
  • Lead banquet shifts while working alongside the team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Serve as the primary contact for hosts and event planners when the Banquet Manager is unavailable.
  • Create memorable guest experiences by anticipating needs and resolving concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, event planners, and internal teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Schedule banquet staff based on business needs while maintaining labor goals.
  • Monitor inventory, banquet equipment, supplies, and beverage controls to support efficient operations.
  • Partner with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication and event flow.
  • Coach, train, and develop banquet team members while creating a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Reinforce company standards, food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with beverage inventory, cost controls, and asset protection.
  • Help identify opportunities to elevate service, improve efficiencies, and exceed guest expectations.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership with genuine hospitality.

Qualifications include:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing events in a hotel, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Outstanding organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • The ability to stay calm, adaptable, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for coaching, motivating, and developing teams.
  • Previous leadership or management experience is preferred.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event management, food & beverage, hospitality, or a related field.
