Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider at Creighton University Medical Center, you will be a part of the implementing a 24/7 Coverage Program for all Trauma in-patient, ER Consults, Floor Consults, Responding to Trauma Activations and Nursing support and hiring an Advanced Practice Provider to cover the night shift to work our 3x12 shift.
Every day you will round on hospitalized patients, providing critical care assessments in pre and post-operative surgery and hospitalized patients.
To be successful in this role, you will play an integral part of the Trauma Critical Care Unit Team, working with the attending physicians and other staff, providing necessary information for team-based care decision making.
This exceptional position is a Night Shift, joining another member to work either the weekend or weekday:
Additional Details of the Opportunity:
- Active Rounding
- Preparing patients for discharge
- Pulling Chest Tubes
- Replacing Feeding Tubes
- Checking on Vitals
- Checking on Labs
- Running interference for the attending Physician
- Managing treatment plans

Job RequirementsRequired:
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice training program (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
Meet board eligibility or certification requirements
Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
Strong clinical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health-care professionals
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families
