The Companyโ€™s products include an extensive offering of proprietary, exclusive, and nationally branded products with over 18,000 SKUs across multiple price points and applications.

Job Purpose / Summary:

The GranQuartz CNC Solutions Specialist is responsible for weekly travel to the customer site for the initial set-up, and installation, as well as troubleshooting of CNC Tools and CNC Machinery. The CNC Solutions Specialist will also educate and train customers on the proper tool and machinery usage and maintenance. This position is also viewed as a solutions specialist who relays customer needs and interests to the sales team to optimize CNC machinery and specialized tooling products and services offered by the company.

1. Multitasking and ability to adjust on the fly. With a schedule that is ever-changing and constant communication via phone and text messages, it is critical the technician can manage multiple tasks at once and be able to pivot based on priority and needs.

Learning and understanding that not all customer processes will be the same as each is based on individual needs and efficiencies. Being able to adjust to customer processes and not push for change because it is a traditional method.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The CNC Solutions Specialist will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Weekly travel. โ€ฏThe technician will travel Monday โ€“ Friday most weeks, including overnight stay(s). โ€ฏThe company will reimburse all approved travel expenses.
  • Facilitate and set up CNC tools
  • Assist, educate, and train customers with the set-up of products to integrate with customerโ€™s current components
  • Training customer CNC operators onsite in their Fabrication shops.โ€ฏ The technician will be teaching the company productivity plan for CNC which consists of dressing and calibrating by hand and with ZOLLER.โ€ฏ
  • Diagnose and fix issues with the customer that involve performance issues with the tooling purchased from the company.โ€ฏ
  • Educate and train the customer on the system of tool maintenance as determined by the company. Lack of Maintenance, operator error, and machine tolerances are all issues that will impact the tooling performance.
  • Work with customers to best identify inefficiencies in their processes.
  • Explain the benefits of additional tools and services to the customer, and partner with the sales team on the customerโ€™s interests to increase sales of products and services.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:

  • CAD / CAM experience in programming
  • Operational experience in running a CNC in the Stone Industry
  • Understanding of Diamond Tooling
  • Understanding of CNC operations and maintenance
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with mathematics
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities
  • Detail orientated
  • Must be able to travel and have a valid driverโ€™s license, with the ability to rent a car
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Proximity to a major airport is preferred


Travel Required:

  • 90-100% Travel, Monday โ€“ Friday, including overnight stay(s)

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Utilize a computer and calculator
  • May need to handle issues off hours on a laptop on occasion.
  • Must be able to perform any physically exerting duties in a warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons. Standing for long periods of time
  • Frequently works in loud environments
  • Must be able to travel extensively, with a clean driving record and the ability to travel by air frequently.โ€ฏ
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • May be required to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion
