Job Summary

Federal Program Manager is responsible for overseeing Federal projects and ensuring MBS is compliant with Federal contract regulations. This includes assisting with the execution of contracts, contract modifications, status renewals, negotiations, Government Services Administration and Small Business Administration filings. This role will be responsible for project management and delivery. The Federal Program Manager will be responsible for assisting MBS General Manager with Federal acquisition strategy and business development.


This role will be remote/virtual and requires the ability to travel. US citizenship is required.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Federal government customers and stakeholders

  • Assist with the development of MBS’s Federal acquisition strategy

  • Diligently monitor project progress using work plan and project plan tools

  • Assist with execution of contracts, contract modifications, and subcontractor agreements

  • Lead internal and external project meetings

  • Familiarity with Federal Government security policies and procedures

  • Monitor and effectively communicate project status and issues to management and present options for issue resolution

  • Monitor resource allocation and labor expenditures across projects

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to manage projects with little supervision and provide status updates to key stakeholders

  • Comprehensive understanding of federal contract vehicles and compliance requirements

  • Experience managing, implementing, and supporting National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security guidelines for clients

  • Understanding of Prime and Subcontractor regulations related to Federal contracts

  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward effectively with little supervision

  • Business development mindset and ability to think creatively when exploring growth opportunities

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management approaches

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including ability to summarize and concisely share key project information with stakeholders

  • Ability to provide leadership/mentorship to other team members


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, computer science, information systems or a related field of study.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience working with Federal contracts and compliance
