Overview

i3 is seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to design, develop, and optimize advanced radar systems for defense applications. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge radar technologies, from initial concept through deployment, ensuring systems meet stringent performance, reliability, and performance requirements.

Pay Range $127,000 - $250,000

The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze radar systems including transmitters, receivers, signal processors, and antenna arrays
  • Support the development of system requirements and specifications for radar performance parameters
  • Provide technical guidance on radar system integration and optimization
  • Support the planning and execution of comprehensive testing protocols for radar system validation
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed performance reports
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective measures
Qualifications

Required:

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience
  • Proficiency in radar principles including waveform design, signal processing, and target detection
  • Strong background in RF/microwave engineering
  • Experience with simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink)
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing and real-time embedded systems
  • Proficient with RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzer)

Desired:

  • 20 years of experience
  • Experience with digital signal processing in radar applications
  • MATLAB application in simulation and data analysis
  • RF test and evaluation experience
  • Experience supporting anechoic chamber operations

Security Clearance:

  •  Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
