What You Will Do:

As a Research Engineer with the Mission Applied Science and Technology (MAST) group is hiring a Research and Development Engineer based in Richardson, TX. We apply fundamental technical principles rooted in math, science, and engineering to develop new concepts to extract information from multi-sensor data sources. Capabilities are researched, developed and matured for operational deployment to commercial cloud computing environment. We work in a secure, collaborative, team-oriented environment to develop solutions for the US Government that solve problems important to national security.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • 0+ years of experience with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related Science, obtained by start date. Some software development experience in python or C/C++ Experience in at least one of the following: using commercial cloud services, developing algorithms in a Linux environment, training a model using a machine learning framework, Agile development, using Git on a software development project Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience. Experience with commercial cloud computing, DevSecOps, and High Performance Computing Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance


Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.


Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
