Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support high-performance, low-latency trading environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in fast-paced, real-time systems and is passionate about optimizing network infrastructure for speed, reliability, and scalability. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.
Starting at $175,000/year.
Network Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, implement, and maintain low-latency, high-performance network infrastructure for trading operations
  • Optimize network performance through tuning, monitoring, and proactive capacity planning
  • Configure and support multicast networking environments for market data distribution
  • Lead and execute network upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure improvements
  • Develop and maintain network automation solutions using tools like Ansible and Python
Network Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer within a financial services or trading environment
  • Strong expertise in low-latency networking and high-frequency trading infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with multicast networking
  • Proficiency in network automation using Ansible, Python, or similar tools
  • Deep understanding of network performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Solid knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
