ATSS has a client in Pascagoula in need of a Project Superintendent. Position Summary

The Project Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production and construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company quality standards. This position provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates with department managers, and ensures efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials throughout all phases of the project.

QualificationsEducation
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional coursework or training in Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, shipbuilding, or related operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role overseeing multiple crews and project activities.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of construction and manufacturing operations, production methods, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience planning work activities to maximize productivity while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop project personnel.

  • Direct and oversee daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer safety requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite inspections.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to determine labor, equipment, and material requirements.
  • Coordinate work assignments with project managers, department heads, subcontractors, and field supervisors.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust manpower, equipment, and resources as needed to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control personnel to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Plan construction activities by evaluating project schedules, sequencing work, and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Monitor production and productivity while identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Assist with material planning and coordinate the timely procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production logs, and project documentation.
  • Resolve field issues and communicate project updates to management.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide recommendations for improving project execution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required to meet project schedules.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in construction, industrial, or shipyard environments.
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
