Wathco is a national commercial general contractor specializing in fast-paced restaurant remodels, re-imaging programs, and facility upgrades for leading national restaurant brands. For over 30 years, we’ve built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects on aggressive schedules across the United States.


Our projects are often completed in tight timeframes, sometimes overnight or in active environments, which requires strong field leadership, organization, and the ability to keep work moving without sacrificing quality.

What a Superintendent Does at Wathco

Superintendents are responsible for leading day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to Wathco’s quality standards.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily jobsite operations, including coordination of subcontractors and field activities
  • Driving the project schedule and ensuring work is completed on time in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Communicating closely with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to keep projects aligned on schedule and budget
  • Maintaining daily logs, site reports, and project documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and jobsite requirements
  • Coordinating inspections, deliveries, and material management
  • Identifying and resolving field issues quickly to avoid delays
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring all work meets project specifications
  • Managing punch list completion and final project closeout in the field
