Location: Canton, MS 39046

Duration: 16 Months contract opportunity with possible extension

Detailed Job description:

  • Data Center Facility Operations Specialist
  • Responsible for Data Center Engineering Facility Operations within an Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Work with managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical facilities systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Serve as first escalation point for all facilities related issues for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) items.
  • Performance and oversight of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center through the use of detailed technical procedures.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work

  • Manage and respond to ticketing queue based on ticket priority and assessed risk to our customers.
  • Perform routine equipment and site monitoring using building maintenance system (BMS), electrical power monitoring system (EPMS) for remote monitoring and human machine interface (HMI) for local monitoring.
  • May assist in the design and build out of new facilities.
  • May assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency.
  • Responsible for asset and inventory management.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts
  • Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.
