Job Summary:
The Construction Job Site Supervisor will oversee daily operations at construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate with subcontractors, manage site logistics, and handle issues as they arise, acting as a liaison between the site crew and management.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Supervise daily site activities, ensuring work is performed in alignment with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and oversee subcontractors, laborers, and any on-site personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards and project goals.
  • Safety Management: Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed, and conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work to ensure high standards of quality and compliance with project plans and regulations.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow, schedule adherence, and problem resolution.
  • Resource Management: Manage materials and equipment on-site, ensuring availability for the crew while avoiding delays.
  • Problem Solving: Address on-site issues or changes in plans swiftly and efficiently, keeping the project on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and records of job site activities, progress, and any incidents.
  • Client Communication: Act as the point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental laws, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-On Work: Assist with construction-related tasks to meet project deadlines and maintain quality.
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Job Site Supervisor or a similar role in construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus
  • Relevant certification or licenses (e.g. CSL, OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR) preferred
