Faculty position to teach on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus.
The College of Education, Human Performance and Health seeks a one academic year (9-month) term visiting assistant professor for the Exercise and Sport Science program. The successful candidate will teach courses focused on exercise and sport science related fields, which may include lecture and lab sections of exercise physiology, strength training and conditioning, fitness assessment and prescription, and/or biomechanics. Competitive candidates will have a strong academic background in exercise science, teaching experience, prioritization of student success and learning, as well as commitment to working collegially with all faculty and stakeholders. Candidates with experience working in exercise science laboratories, including metabolic, body composition, and performance testing, arc encouraged to apply.

Required Education and Experience
Doctoral degree or ABD in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to teach a range of exercise and sport science courses is required. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications
ACSM-EP and/or NSCA-CSCS certifications are preferred. Candidates with an emerging research agenda with presentations and/or publications focused on exercise and sport science are encouraged to apply. Experience working in exercise science laboratories, including metabolic, body composition, and/or performing testing, is also highly preferred.
