The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, has a position for Assistant Professor.
This position will see patients as well as perform cancer-related research and will hold the title of Director of Skin Imaging and Technology. It is expected that this person will focus on skin cancer prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and other dermatology innovations. The clinical component will operate as the primary interface with the public, patients, and physicians, will coordinate and optimize patient care while concurrently fostering the academic development of the team members.
Duties will be divided 60% clinical effort and 20% research, 10% administrative and 10% educational activities. Including participation in teaching at our masters program as well as our residency program, educational conferences, department meetings, scholarly work and administrative functions associated with the department.
Must be a Florida licensed M.D. Fully trained in Dermatology -board-certified or board-eligible. Will be expected to generate sufficient funds to cover his/her professional income practice expenses and contribute to the Department of Dermatology for each fiscal year.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.
