Job description

Would you be interested in working for not only an industry leader in consumer packaging manufacturing but working with a great team of people in an awesome location.ย  Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Processย Engineer leadsย the day to day activities related to the production and quality of products, adherence to established processes forย injection molding operations of a global leader inย packaging manufacturing.ย  Excellent salary, bonus, vacation, long term benefits for the qualified candidate.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES:
Oversees the mold setup process in blow molding.ย 
Oversees tool work including repairs and pm work
Works with new tool IQ, OQ, PQ process, DOE runs and process studies
Plans, organizes and directs tool repair/pm and changeover operations to minimize downtime and optimize product quality.
Initiates plans to improve cycle, or repair tooling damage.
Supports production and product standards that will exceed customers' expectations.
Implements manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives.
Establishes group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
Encourages use of new techniques and focuses on fact based problem solving.
Manages spending against budget.
Works to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which includes all
employees' positive involvement with opportunity for constructive input and action
Continually improves safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes while ensuring compliance of all safety procedures.
Maintains individual skills keeping up to date with latest process technologies and blow molding platforms.
Ensures planned KPI's of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
Works with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
Ensures coaching and development of resources to meet business's objectives.
Manages the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
Drafts timescale for the jobs/presses.
Ensures prescribed line PM's are completed timely.
Tracks competencies of subordinates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.
Prepares and executes short and long term department goals to meet plant goals and quantifies those results.
Prepares and justifies department budget recommendations and capital expenditures for support systems and equipment.
Ensures work is completed correctly and on time by prioritizing as necessary, assigning work, and setting work schedules.
Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Professional with at leastย 2 years' experience inย injectionย moldingย processes
Possesses well-developed managerial, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates organizational skills, is very detail oriented, and can effectively prioritize time.
Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner by managing the process of innovative change effectively as well as mitigating team conflict and communication problems.
Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: interviewing, hiring, training, directing, coaching, rewarding and disciplining, developing an ongoing performance plan and appraising the performance of all direct reports.
Addresses employee inquiries, complaints and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
