The Process Engineer troubleshoots materials, processes, and tooling production issues in plastic extrusion environment.

Prior experience in polymer extrusion preferred. Plastics experience (Injection / Extrusion) / Extrusion experience (Rubber, etc) /   Medical device process is preferred

4 yr. Engineering Degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering

Experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems or Lean Certification preferred

Able to understand and document a process accurately

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects

Project management skills

Continuous improvement, Kaizen, SPC, and TPM experience

Team environment and independent working experience

Black belt / six sigma desired

Hands-on-style

Work closely with Production Managers to resolve ongoing production issues

Assist in transition of new process developments

Lead process optimization and continuous process improvement activities

Start up new equipment and train operators

Establish and maintain best practice operating procedures

Work with Maintenance to ensure safe, continuous operation of extrusion equipment

Work with design engineering staff to improve equipment performance and reliability

Support and drive the Zeus Operating System Dimensions and Guiding/Supporting Principles
