About the Position

A well-established boutique law firm in Southern California is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation practice. The firm focuses exclusively on probate, trust, estate, and conservatorship matters, providing attorneys with the opportunity to build deep subject-matter expertise while working on challenging and meaningful cases.


This Associate Attorney role is ideal for a motivated attorney who enjoys litigation, values collaboration, and wants significant responsibility early in their career. You will work directly with experienced attorneys, appear in court, interact with clients, and manage cases from inception through resolution.


What You'll Do

  • Handle probate, trust, and conservatorship litigation matters.
  • Draft petitions, motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
  • Prepare, serve, and respond to written discovery.
  • Attend hearings, status conferences, mediations, and settlement proceedings.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files while managing multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 1-4 years of attorney experience.

  • Experience with probate, trusts, estates, family law, business litigation, or transactional matters is a plus.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong oral advocacy and interpersonal communication skills.
