Are you experienced Press Operator looking for a new opportunity?
 
APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Livonia, MI looking for a Contract Press Operator.  Their primary responsibility will be to operate press machines and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.  Keep reading for more details!
 
What’s in it for you:
  • 1st shift opportunity – Monday to Friday from 6am-4:30pm.  Sat OT from 6am-11am.
  • Competitive hourly rate at $18/hr. 
  • Temporary contract position
 
 What your day will look like:
  • Operate press machines to produce quality parts according to specifications. 
  • Inspect materials and finished parts for defects or quality concerns. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA safety standards. 
  • Perform quality inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. 
  • Assist with additional duties as needed, including general shop cleaning during machine downtime.
 
 What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3+ years of related experience 
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality Systems 
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities 
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
