Job description

Description:

Come join SOODE Kansas Corporation, a subsidiary of Alconix Corporation, at our new manufacturing facility located within the Panasonic Energy Gigafactory in De Soto, KS. Our facility manufactures precision top cap components for lithium-ion battery cells that support Panasonic Energy's electric vehicle battery production. As we continue to grow, we're building a team that is committed to quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration.


Position Summary: Operate and monitor aluminum stamping, washing, inspection, and other production equipment to manufacture high-quality precision metal components. Employees may be assigned to the press, washing machine, and other production operations throughout their shift based on business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate aluminum stamping, washing, inspection, and related production equipment. 
  • Load materials and perform visual and measurement quality checks.           
  • Respond to machine alarms, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed. 
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements. 
  • Complete production and quality documentation. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S/Lean principles. 
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Maintenance, and Quality team. 
  • Assist with training and perform other duties as assigned.  
Requirements:
  •  High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of    2 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or assembly experience. May consider (1) full year in manufacturing 
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.           
  • Mechanical ability, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.

Physical Qualification: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
