About the Medical Assistant Role:

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their medical visits. This position involves a combination of clinical and administrative tasks, which are essential for the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting healthcare providers during procedures, and managing patient records efficiently. By performing vital tasks such as taking vital signs and processing specimens, the Medical Assistant directly contributes to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Ultimately, this role is vital in enhancing patient satisfaction and improving overall healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and attend to patient needs in person and over the phone
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing, including the collection and handling of samples.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of medical information.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Assist Physician with C-Arm
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Actively speak up and provide patient safety and patient experience recommendations.
  • Adhere to company-wide policy and procedures.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program.

  • 1-3 years’ Experience at a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems (EHR) preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
