Job Title: Process Operator Assistant
Location: Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project – Southeastern Arizona (between Benson and Willcox)

About the Role: Gunnison Copper is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Assistant Process Operator to support daily operations at our chemical processing plant. Reporting to the Leaching Supervisor, this entry-level position assists with plant operations, equipment monitoring, and general maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Process Operators in operating pumps, valves, and pipelines.
  • Help collect and label solution samples for testing.
  • Support chemical dosing adjustments under supervision.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and housekeeping tasks.
  • Enter operational data into logbooks and spreadsheets as directed.
  • Operate forklifts and mobile equipment (or be willing to train).
  • Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all site safety protocols.
  • Assist in updating SOPs and reporting equipment issues to maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year experience in industrial, mining, or plant operations preferred (not required).
  • Willingness to learn chemical processes and plant systems.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor/plant environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, any of seven days per week.
