SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
To develop, install, and maintain cost-effective methods of manufacturing and fair and equitable manufacturing operating standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to the following:
Participates at initiation phase of new product lines to assist in process design for cost-effective manufacturing according to all customer and other specifications and requirements.
Coordinate with other personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals regarding the manufacturing of new and existing products.
Coordinate with Quality Manager to develop quality documentation including control plans, PFMEA’s, operation standards, etc.
Participate in the evaluation of the design of new processes for feasibility and reliability.
Supervise and train manufacturing personnel in carrying out the operational procedures required.
Coordinate with Quality Manager to compile information and documentation needed to submit customer PPAP requests.
Implement and supervise preventative, emergency and other requested maintenance activities for equipment and tooling within the facility.
Directs and supervises the activities of production operators, material handlers and tool and die personnel.
Encourage and support focus on finding ways to continually improve products and processes.
Travel to the customer, vendor or equipment locations when needed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree from four-year college or university; minimum of two years of Engineering experience. Training in AutoCAD required.
SKILLS NEEDED:
Basic blueprint reading skills and use of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc. Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering-related journals, specifications, procedures or other requirements. Ability to prepare control plans, PFMEA’s, flow charts, procedures, forms and other documentation required. Ability to interact with and present information to other personnel and customer or vendor representatives.
