Description

Leidos is seeking a Quality and Configuration Manager to support GEOAxIS Next(GxNext) located in Chantilly, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping with the GxNext mission.  The GxNext program performs to modernize the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) GEOAxIS System and focuses on delivering secure Identify, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services to protect critical content across security domains.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with the Program Manager to develop strategies, responsibilities, and information needs for QA & CM inspections to assess product integrity and execution discipline from a past, present and future perspective risk identification and mitigation.

  • Identify and monitor leading and predictive metrics-based data collection and analysis.

  • Perform inspections and audits on program plans, products, and verification practices prior to approvals to assess program’s ability to sustain performance.

  • Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems to prevent defects in deliverable products.

  • Defining and implementing standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, and evaluating the accuracy and reliability of products and/or services performance through measurement data.

  • Using existing or developed systems, to identify failure trends and verify consistency of design and product functionality satisfying contract requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Lead the performance of planning, conducting, and documenting product inspections and quality audits to identify delivery risks in advance.

  • Continually improve and maintain CMMI compliance with the program approved Tailored Process Baseline (TPB).

  • Implement, improve and maintain QA & CM  plans, procedures, and the software configuration management process for software releases and patches.

  • Provide configuration management of supporting software documentation including documents required in the A&A RMF process, Knowledge-Based Articles (KBA), product support documentation (COTS, GOTS, and open source) installation scripts, test plan and procedures required to operate and maintain the delivered capabilities.

  • Execute timely quality inspections and audits in advance of approvals & delivery.

  • Generate corrective action requests for inspection and audit findings and maintain the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings.

  • Establishes a unified and forward-thinking collaboration between PM and QEC, ensuring that both immediate execution and long-term quality and configuration risks are identified and addressed.

  • Lead improvements on building an automation roadmap & improving the CI/CD pipeline with program team.

  • Coordinate with applicable stakeholders for baseline changes & troubleshooting issues with the build process.

  • Improve and sustain the Configuration Control Board and develop associated materials to include briefings using a standard template, agenda and minutes.

  • Oversee the publishing of the baseline Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) (e.g. source code, service offerings and documentation).

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree with 8 years prior relevant experience or Master with 6 years of prior relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience of implementing quality management, product & execution inspections and performance monitoring within Agile development teams. 

  • Experience with configuring build automation tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI, CircleCI or similar for DevOps practices as well as   Git branching with Java and/or Node (Gitflow or GitHubflow) and  SharePoint Confluence, JIRA

  • Configuration management implementation experience with software development teams and demonstrated ability to manage software configurations and licenses.

  • Works with team to establish project processes within management, technical and support areas.

  • Implements a continuous improvement mindset and collaborates with teams to assist in solutions, deep analysis with continual focus on impacts to products/mission objectives.

  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO/AS9100/CMMI/ITIL training and/or certifications.

  • Facilitation of lean six sigma events within Agile framework.

  • Establishing Agile predictive metrics and briefing  external customers on efficiencies.

  • CM experience in maintaining container images of a build pipeline, implementing multi-staged pipelines.
