Job Overview:
Job Summary**
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator for our solar farm construction projects. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery for site preparation, trenching, pile driving, and other civil and mechanical tasks, without the need for commercial driving.
Job Responsibilities**
* Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, pile drivers, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently.
* Perform site preparation tasks including clearing, grading, and trenching for underground utilities and foundations.
* Assist with the installation and assembly of mechanical components for solar array structures.
* Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
* Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members.
* Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Job Qualifications**
* Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy civil and/or mechanical construction equipment.
* Proficiency in operating multiple types of equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, forklifts, telehandlers, and pile drivers.
* Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans is a plus.
