Job description

Peerless is seeking experienced Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Engineers to execute and perform analysis using the AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling). Candidates will be responsible for researching, developing, integrating and maintaining the necessary models, scenarios, and simulations to support detailed analysis. Candidates will assist with modeling tasks requiring the design, development and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques for evaluating and reporting the probable effects and survivability of alternative courses of action.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with AFSIM and modeling and simulation tools (e.g., STK, NGTS, Builder)

  • Experience supporting model development, integration, and analysis in defense environments

  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and/or MATLAB

  • Experience supporting Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation environments

  • Experience conducting model verification and validation (V&V) and producing technical assessments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with government, laboratory, and industry stakeholders

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Security+ (CE) or other DoD-approved certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field

  • Strong background in systems engineering and model integration

  • Experience supporting EMSO and/or Nuclear Triad modeling and simulation

  • Experience with threat modeling, flight path scenarios, and electronic warfare (EW) effects

  • Experience collaborating with National Laboratories and DoD Warfare Centers

  • Additional programming experience (e.g., Java)

  • Experience in rapid prototyping or hardware design engineering

  • Strong communication, reporting, and project coordination skills

  • Prior experience supporting DoD organizations and large-scale simulation efforts
