Qualifications

Required Education:

Minimum: Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology Technology

Required Experience:

  • Minimum: No previous experience required
  • Preferred: 1+ Years of experience in a comparable position

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of Florida & ARRT

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • Perform CT simulations for patients that will be starting radiation therapy.  
  • Follow a physician's order to complete the simulation as directed.
  • Fabricate immobilization devices for patients that will be used during treatments.
  • Assist physicians/staff during CT procedures.
  • Ensure proper patient care during Simulation procedures.
  • Coordinate with treatment machines/infusion to schedule patients to begin radiation treatments.

Patient Care/Procedures:

  • Effectively communicate to patient and family on the procedure and what to expect. 
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, physics, dosimetry, therapists, and nursing staff regarding CT simulations.
  • Arrange transportation as needed for CT simulations for inpatients
