What does an assistant photography videography do?

An Assistant Photography Videography professional supports photographers and videographers during shoots by setting up equipment, managing lighting, and assisting with technical tasks. They help organize and maintain cameras, lenses, and accessories, and may also handle file management and basic editing. Their role ensures that shoots run smoothly, allowing the lead photographer or videographer to focus on capturing quality images or footage. This position is often a stepping stone for those interested in advancing to lead creative roles in photography or videography.

What are the typical responsibilities and collaborative tasks for an assistant photography videography on a shoot day?

As an Assistant in Photography and Videography, your day often involves preparing equipment, setting up lighting, and ensuring all batteries and memory cards are ready. During shoots, you'll support the lead photographer or videographer by managing gear, assisting with shot setups, and sometimes directing subjects.
