Job description

We're looking for an experienced banking professional who enjoys building relationships, helping members reach financial goals, and making lending decisions that truly impact people's lives.

If you've built your career in banking and enjoy helping people more than simply processing transactions, we'd love to meet you.

At Thrive Credit Union, our Financial Consultants are relationship builders first. They take the time to understand each member's financial goals, recommend solutions that truly fit their needs, and create lasting relationships built on trust.

This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with previous banking or credit union experience who is confident opening accounts, identifying member needs, and delivering an exceptional member experience.

What You'll Do

As a Financial Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted resource for our members by:

Building Relationships

  • Welcome members and create an exceptional service experience from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Open new accounts and educate members on products and services that support their financial goals.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover member needs and confidently recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Build lasting relationships that encourage members to choose Thrive for all of their financial needs.

Guiding Lending Conversations

  • Interview members and gather information to complete consumer loan applications.
  • Ensure loan applications are accurate, complete, and ready for review by our Loan Officers.
  • Answer questions and help members understand the lending process from application through closing.

Supporting the Branch Team

  • Assist with teller transactions during busy periods and provide accurate, efficient service.
  • Serve members through multiple channels, including in person, by phone, online, and through text messaging.
  • Participate in outbound member outreach to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to better serve our members.
  • Contribute to individual and branch goals while maintaining a member-first mindset.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in helping others succeed financially.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Previous experience working in a bank or credit union (required)
  • Experience opening new accounts and discussing financial products with customers or members
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • The ability to identify member needs and confidently recommend appropriate solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Previous consumer lending experience is a plus, but not required

Why Thrive Credit Union?

At Thrive, we believe banking is personal.
Our Financial Consultants have the opportunity to make a real impact by helping members navigate important financial decisions and improve their financial well-being. You'll work alongside a supportive team that values collaboration, exceptional service, and doing what's right for our members. If you're looking for an opportunity where relationships matter, your experience is valued, and your work makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
