Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Shift Days: Monday - Friday.
Pay Rate: $17 per Hour
Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
Job Description
The Pallet Builder is responsible for constructing and repairing wooden or metal pallets used for storing and shipping aluminum products. This role requires attention to detail, basic carpentry or mechanical skills, and a focus on safety. The Pallet Builder will work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure all pallets are built to the correct specifications and are able to safely carry the weight of aluminum products.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pallet Construction:
    • Build new pallets from raw materials (wood, metal, or composite materials) according to specifications.
    • Measure and cut materials to the required size using saws and other tools.
    • Assemble pallet components using nails, screws, or bolts.
  2. Pallet Repair:
    • Inspect used or damaged pallets and make necessary repairs to ensure they are safe for reuse.
    • Replace broken boards, secure loose parts, and reinforce weak areas.
  3. Material Handling:
    • Ensure pallets are properly sized and built to accommodate the weight and dimensions of aluminum products.
    • Assist in loading and unloading materials or products onto pallets when needed.
  4. Safety & Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols while operating tools and handling materials.
    • Inspect finished pallets to ensure they meet quality standards and are fit for use.
    • Keep the work area clean and organized to prevent accidents.
  5. Inventory & Material Management:
    • Track inventory of materials needed for pallet construction and notify the supervisor when supplies are low.
    • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure timely availability of pallets.
