Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Chief of Investigations, an Intelligence Analyst will evaluate and assess information and contribute to the production of raw and finished intelligence products. An Intelligence Analyst will review and analyze technical and human source collections to identify gaps, new targets and potential subjects for investigation. Additionally, they will respond to requests, conduct relevant database checks and provide detailed written responses to the appropriate audience.
An Intelligence Analyst will conduct tactical analysis from multiple data sources that contribute to criminal and civil investigations. They will conduct extensive research within multiple external and/or internal databases and sources to find relevant information by identifying gaps, patterns, trends and anomalies to produce reports and tactical products for dissemination. An Intelligence Analyst will determine the best format to present information and will prepare briefings and written reports regarding the conclusions and recommendations drawn from data and information.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's or an advanced degree in a criminal justice related field and three years of related work experience. The ability to demonstrate strong leadership, judgment and problem solving skills is required. This position also requires a working knowledge of criminal intelligence analysis and strong technological skills. Attendance, flexibility, outstanding written and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other agencies and OAG employees is required.
