Occupational Registered Nurse - Part-Time

  • Location: Keene, NH | 100% Onsite

  • Work Schedule: 24 hours/week, ideally 3 days per week × 8-hour shifts

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Occupational Health team in Keene, NH. This is an opportunity for a skilled RN to use clinical expertise in a workplace setting while helping employees stay healthy, recover safely from illness or injury, and return to work successfully.

In this role, you'll provide direct nursing care, conduct assessments, coordinate follow-up and case management, support emergency response activities, and contribute to health and safety programs across the site.

What You'll Do

Clinical & Occupational Health Care:

  • Perform nursing assessments for employees experiencing illness or injury, including obtaining vital signs, evaluating conditions, documenting findings, and determining appropriate treatment within your RN scope of practice.

  • Provide nursing treatments and medical interventions consistent with your scope of practice.

  • Develop and explain treatment recommendations and educate employees on appropriate follow-up care.

  • Perform required occupational health surveillance examinations in accordance with applicable OSHA and other regulatory standards.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in accordance with regulatory and privacy requirements.

  • Provide support for the site's medical Emergency Response Program.

Injury, Disability & Absence Management:

  • Provide guidance throughout the disability process and coordinate with insurance carriers, Benefits, Workers' Compensation, Safety, and the Company Physician/Provider.

  • Manage occupational illness and injury cases to support effective, timely case resolution.

  • Support absence management through the company's post-injury and illness management process, helping employees achieve a safe and appropriate return to work.

  • Coordinate appropriate work accommodations and monitor employee progress.

  • Assist with FMLA requests using medical information and established companies and legal protocols.

Employee Health & Wellness:

Participate in site Health & Safety initiatives and employee wellness programs, which may include smoking cessation, fitness programs, blood drives, flu vaccination programs, and other health-promotion activities.

  • Contribute to pandemic preparedness and workplace health initiatives.

  • Collaborate with external occupational medical providers as needed.

  • Maintain appropriate medical supplies and overall inventory for the occupational health function.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience; Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with employees and healthcare partners.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S).

  • Experience in an emergency room, intensive care unit, or medical/surgical setting.

  • Experience developing or promoting employee health and safety programs.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or corporate health environment.

  • This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $31.61/hour - $52.51/hour W-2.
