Job description

Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safety of associates and patrons by regulating and correcting situations of possible accident and injury
Responsible for the enforcement of NY State lottery rules as well as rules and regulations of the NYS Racing & Wagering Board
Maintain a safe work and customer environment
Assist the manager in issuing all disciplinary actions
Responsible for scheduling post assignments to ensure compliance with state laws and facility regulations
Responsible for reviewing all shifts paperwork
Responsible for enforcing security procedures
Leads by example in the skills of Customer service and positive interaction with associates
Demonstrates skill in dealing with customer complaints
Patrols buildings and grounds of facility on foot and/or in security vehicle; examines doors,
windows and gates to determine that they are secure; controls the various entry/exit locations throughout controlled areas as assigned
Oversee new hire and frontline training
Assist in the employee review and performance appraisal process
Role model company guest service program
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Must be a NYS Certified Security Guard
One to two years’ supervisory experience preferred
Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License

OTHER
Intermediate computer skills with Windows platform, including word processing, spreadsheets,
Internet and email
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
