The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort-class amenities. Spin Instructor Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a safe, energetic and structured class format
  •  Conduct private and small group training sessions as needed
  •  Provide a high level of personalized attention to members before, during and after class
  •  Assist with the cleanliness of the exercise class studios and the maintenance of the exercise class equipment
  •  Follow group class and personal training standards when leading sessions
  •  Provide an energetic, friendly, positive, and motivational teaching style
  •  Lead high-energy, music-driven spin classes that inspire and challenge participants
  •  Create personalized, safe, and engaging workouts for members of all fitness levels
  •  Build relationships with members to foster a strong sense of community
  •  Ensure proper bike setup, safety, and form throughout each class
  •  Collaborate with the studio team to support studio goals and promote events
  •  Monitor the room environment, including temperature, sound, and lighting, to ensure it is conducive for an energetic spin class
  •  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends and advancements in indoor cycling
  •  Communicate effectively with participants, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed
  •  Provide modifications to exercises to accommodate all fitness levels
  •  All other duties as assigned

Spin Instructor Minimum Qualifications: 

  •  Must hold a current cycle certification (Schwinn preferred)
  •  High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  •  Minimum of two years’ experience leading spin classes
  •  Preferred Private Club experience
  • CPR/First Aid certified preferred 
  • Previous experience teaching spin or group fitness classes preferred 
  • Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting) 
  • Strong knowledge of cycling techniques and fitness principles

Spin Instructor Minimum Critical Skills: 

  •  Ability to lead a minimum of 2 or more spin classes per week
  • Ability to motivate and engage a diverse group of participants and provide exceptional service
  • Able to understand and follow verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills
  • Able to utilize scheduling apps and assist members through fitness app navigation
  • Well-developed team skills, unquestioned, confidence and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships
  • Use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations while maintaining professionalism and integrity of the club

 Spin Instructor Physical Requirements: 

  •  Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 3 hours in length

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks

  •  Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
