Job description

Traveling MEP Project Manager - Mission Critical

Our client is seeking an experienced Traveling MEP Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mission critical construction projects nationwide. This individual will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage MEP project execution from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and procurement activities
  • Lead client, owner, and project team meetings
  • Monitor project safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance
  • Manage change orders, contract administration, and financial reporting
  • Oversee project documentation, permitting, and closeout activities


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of project management experience in data center/mission critical construction
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and commercial construction processes
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively


Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive data center construction experience
  • Professional certifications or industry affiliations (PE, AGC, etc.)
  • Large-scale commercial construction experience
