A-1 Auto Glass is on the lookout for mechanically minded individuals who take pride in their work and love serving customers. As an Auto Glass Technician (AGT), you’ll play a hands-on role in high-quality auto glass installation, rock chip repairs, and more—all while learning the trade from the best in the business. If you’re driven, detail-oriented, and ready to make a difference one windshield at a time, we want to hear from you!


A Day in the Life of an Auto Glass Technician:

Each day starts with a careful inspection of customer vehicles for any pre-existing damage, which you’ll review with the customer. From there, you’ll complete windshield replacements and rock chip repairs using specialized tools and safety protocols. Whether in the shop or on mobile calls, you’ll vacuum up broken glass, reattach parts like moldings and wipers, and conduct a final inspection before returning the vehicle to the customer. You’ll keep records up to date, assist customers with payment and insurance processes, and work closely with the call center team to resolve any order issues. Maintaining a clean, organized shop and company vehicle is also part of the role.

Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to lift 50-75 pounds and handle physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Must meet company standards on pre-employment background and drug Screen.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto glass installation and repair
- Proven track record of working with various types of vehicles and glass materials
- Experience in handling and utilizing auto glass installation tools and equipment
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of auto glass installation techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to accurately measure and cut glass to fit specific vehicle requirements
- Proficient in the use of adhesive materials and sealants for glass installation
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address and rectify installation challenges
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
