SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB FUNCTION: Assist in overall classroom procedures as directed by the teacher.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Score objective type test record results
  • Prepare copies, transparencies and other instructional materials.
  • Operate tape recorders, projectors, copying machines and other instructional equipment.
  • Type and file correspondence and reports.
  • Supervise the library, playground and lunch activities of pupils.
  • Plan with the teacher bulletin boards, displays and the use of films, filmstrips, and tapes.
  • Assist with the attendance records, lunchroom reports, cumulative records and announcements.
  • Assist with small group instruction, make-up work, tutoring details, reading computation, and story-telling activities.
  • Deal with minor injuries or illnesses to children.
  • Perform housekeeping chores such as lighting, ventilating, and arrangement of furniture, all geared toward the interest, health and safety of pupils.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Principal and Superintendent.
