Job description

Overview
To create and apply makeup to transform actors into frightening characters.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply and maintain all Special Effect Makeup including but no limited to, prosthetics, masks, airbrush and standard special effect makeup.
• Must be able to execute makeup looks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Must maintain the set Sanitation Guidelines provided by the State and Makeup Supervisor.
• Will clean worn masks & prosthetics and put them in their proper place at the end of the night.
• Fix minor repairs on masks & prosthetics if needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe atmosphere in all makeup areas including sweeping, mopping, cleaning up trash and storage areas.
• Spend time checking on makeup in Haunted Attractions and in the Themed Street Areas.
• Will adhere to and enforce all Park Policies and procedures as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
• Must purchase Park approved Fright Fest Crew T-shirt and Black Pants must be worn at all times.
• Report immediately any unsafe acts to the Makeup Supervisor.
• Train new personnel as needed.
• Assist in covering breaks in other areas of the department. This may include but not limited to working in Haunted Attractions as a Scare-Actor or Haunted House Host, in a Themed Street Area or Wardrobe areas.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum Age: 16
• Must be available to work evenings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
• Basic Makeup skills required for all positions, Expert skills required for some positions.
• Must be able to stand for length of shift & energetically interact with Guests for the full shift.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
