Adecco is now hiring an experienced warehouse Asst Supervisor for Essilor Luxottica in McDonough, GA.

Job Title- Assistant Supervisor
Pay Rate-$25.00/hr
Length of assignment- long term
Days/Hours- Monday to Friday 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm
Leadership of the 2nd shift team (minimum of 20 team members)
Run operations
Monitor KPI’s
Following tasks to meet goals
Team player
Making decisions to make sure production needs are met
Excel (pivots, formulas), Word, PowerPoint exp
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Assistant Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of various distribution departments for all products, operations, staff and packing functions
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises, plans, organizes and solves problems for distribution departmental functions.

  • Schedules staff and monitors daily operations and department plans.

  • Conducts interviews for new hire associates and makes recommendations.

  • Monitors daily operations to business and department plans.

  • Performs performance evaluations and provides associate guidance as needed.

  • Monitors and performs follow-up for associate accuracy.

  • Conducts audits to ensure associate accuracy.

  • Communicates daily with the operations manager.

  • Conducts training for newly hired associates.
     

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School or GED

  • 2+ years performing increasingly diversified duties within a logistics/distribution environment

  • Experience operating power equipment

  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by management

  • Understanding and use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to interact professionally with both corporate and non-corporate personnel

  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to shifting priorities based on business needs

  • Excellent math aptitude/numerical recognition

  • Excellent communication skills
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Previous supervisory experience within a distribution/logistics environment

• Strong computer skills in MS Office, MS Project or equivalent, Minitab or equivalent statistical package
• Strong statistical skills, problem solving and data analysis
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and listen at all levels
Preferred Requirements
• Bachelor degree
• 3+ years’ experience in logistics
• 3+ year’s supervisory experience

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
