Job description
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems for conveyor systems in customer facilities.
- Collaborate with Field Services Project Managers, Lead Technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and control systems for conveyor systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide training and technical support to customers on electrical and control systems for conveyor systems.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, including manuals and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed, including time and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Associate degree in electrical technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and control system installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably in the Conveyor Industry.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and other control devices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.travel up to 80%
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Fluent in reading and writing English.
- Understanding of Spanish is a plus.
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Must have technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer
- Ability to use multi hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms and pick up items of at least 50 lbs.
- Employee will be exposed to materials that have SDS sheets but are not life threatening.
- Ability to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift and practice proper safety per OSHA standards.
