Job Title: Assistant Living Director
Location: Minnesota
Reports To: Owner
Employment Type:25-30 Hours a month
Position Summary

The Assistant Living Director supports the overall management and daily operations of a small, 5-bed assisted living facility. This role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance with Minnesota assisted living standards, and a safe, compassionate home environment. The Assistant Living Director works closely with staff, residents, families, and external providers to maintain excellence in care and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

  • Assist in overseeing daily facility operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
  • Support implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with Minnesota assisted living regulations
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage
Resident Care & Services

  • Ensure residents receive individualized, person-centered care
  • Monitor resident well-being and coordinate care with healthcare providers
  • Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support admissions, assessments, and service plan development
  • Assist in insuring Facility is in full compacity
Staff Supervision & Development

  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising caregiving staff
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Ensure staff adherence to care standards and facility policies
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support
Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Help maintain compliance with Minnesota Department of Health assisted living regulations
  • Participate in audits, inspections, Surveys and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure proper medication management practices are followed (if applicable)
  • Monitor infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures
Financial & Resource Support

  • Assist with budgeting, supply management, and cost control
  • Monitor inventory and order necessary supplies
