We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled Regional Support Technician to join our IT team and provide hands-on technology support throughout the Lake Tahoe and Great Basin areas.


Position Summary

The Regional Support Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees in a hybrid work environment. This position will manage assigned support tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with workstation and peripheral setup, and work closely with the IT team, end users, and management staff to resolve technical issues efficiently.


The ideal candidate enjoys being part of a collaborative technical team while also being comfortable working independently, prioritizing assignments, traveling between locations, and communicating directly with employees who have varying levels of technical experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to, manage, and resolve assigned IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide technical support to employees using both Windows and Macintosh computers.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and user-access issues.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office applications
  • Provide user support and basic administration within the Microsoft 365 environment
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and other peripherals on Windows and Macintosh computers.
  • Assist employees with workstation setup and general desktop technology needs.
  • Communicate technical information and troubleshooting steps clearly and calmly to end users.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the IT team to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding support requests, troubleshooting performed, and issue resolution.
  • Travel to company locations throughout the Lake Tahoe and Great Basin areas as needed to provide onsite technical support.
  • Perform other IT support duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and environment.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Experience installing and configuring printers and other common office peripherals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications and common desktop software issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate patiently, clearly, and professionally with employees at all levels of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple support requests and priorities.
  • Dependable, professional, and responsive approach to customer service.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the Lake Tahoe and Great Basin
  • areas are required.
  • Relevant technical certifications are preferred and may be considered when determining starting compensation.


Compensation

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour. Actual starting compensation may vary based on demonstrated technical skills, relevant experience, and applicable professional or technical certifications.
