Look no further! Our law firm is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals. As a Legal Assistant with our firm, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, from administrative support to case management, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling appointments, deadlines, and court dates.
  • Serve as a backup for the front desk, which includes handling faxing, scanning, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Accurately enter billable time for attorneys into our timekeeping system.
  • Save and name documents appropriately in Netdocs, ensuring all files are organized and easily accessible.
  • Transcribe dictation accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transcriptions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in an insurance defense or litigation setting.
  • Proficiency in Netdocs or similar document management systems. Familiarity with timekeeping software is a plus.
  • Experience with transcribing dictation, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
