The Assistant Lacrosse Coach is primarily responsible for assisting with program needs as assigned by the Head Coach, including, but not limited to, the following.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, development, and administration of certain aspects of the program
  • Assist in implementation of team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
  • Assist in academic oversight of student-athletes
  • Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned
  • Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech
  • Aid the Head Coach in planning and executing in-gym sessions
  • Assist in player development
  • Assist in game day strategies and execution
  • Execute film breakdown and scouting
  • Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements.
  • Develop fundraising strategies
  • Coordinate travel logistics for on-road contests and other needs
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the head coach or the athletic director

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

Experience
  • 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred

Working Conditions
  • Nights and weekends required
  • Overtime hours required in season
  • Travel for competitions and recruiting required
